How to Block No Caller ID Calls on iPhone

If you are a busy person who always wants to avoid being disturbed by unknown calls, you might want to consider using the ‘Do Not Disturb’ feature on your iPhone. This feature will help you block unwanted calls from your phone and will also prevent it from ringing when you are out of the house or when you are sleeping. However, there are a few drawbacks to the feature.

Disadvantages of ‘Do Not Disturb’

If you’ve been on the Apple lot for a while, you know that the company has a vested interest in ensuring the safety of its users. This is a truism and one of the reasons why they were the first to introduce the iPhone. To counter this calamity, the company rolled out a few products to help make the driving experience a little safer.

Among these, the Do Not Disturb feature stands out as the most notable. You can turn this feature on and off at will, so you can be in charge of your phone even when you are on the road. The feature has a couple of tricks up its sleeve, such as allowing you to set a time window for your ‘do not disturb’ call, and letting you answer calls from your favorite contacts. And, if you’re feeling particularly sociable, you can even schedule a ‘do not disturb’ call during lunch. So, it’s not surprising that this feature is a popular choice among drivers.

Of course, not all of the features mentioned above were invented by Apple, and some were the product of partnerships with competing technology makers. But the iPhone has a few patented technologies that can help make your driving experience safer.

Focus Mode

Focus mode for iPhone is one way to stop unwanted calls from ringing on your phone. It’s useful for blocking spam and robocalls, as well as calls from your favorite contacts. You can set Focus to block incoming alerts, or simply pass through them.

To access the Focus Mode, go to Settings > Focus. Then, click Save. This will add the Focus mode to your Lock screen, as well as the Control Center.

While in Focus mode, you can select to receive notifications from specific apps, as well as choose contacts that you want to contact. If you have a particular number of contacts you want to silence, you can add them to the Allowed People list.

Focus will also log missed calls from spammers and telemarketers. During Focus, if a call comes from an unknown number, it will send it to voicemail.

To block a certain contact during Focus mode, you can tap the Block button. However, if you want to silence a contact who is already on the Allow Calls menu, you will need to remove them.

Once you have added the contacts you want to silence, you can turn Focus on and off. There are three modes for Focus: Do Not Disturb (DND), Sleep, and Work.

Unknown, Private, or No Caller ID calls

If you receive calls from telemarketers or other unknown people, you may want to block unknown, private, or no caller ID calls on your iPhone. The process is relatively simple. However, you will need to get in touch with your cell carrier or network provider to get this service enabled.

In the case of your carrier, you can block unknown, private, or no caller identification by turning on Do Not Disturb (DND). This feature allows you to restrict certain incoming and outgoing calls. You can set this to block any number.

There are also other methods to prevent robocalls. These include phone management software, blocking individual numbers, and VOIP. Some users prefer to hide their caller ID to keep their privacy.

iOS 13 comes with a feature called “Silence Unknown Callers”. This allows you to silence incoming calls. After turning on this feature, all incoming calls from unrecognized numbers will go to voicemail.

While Apple does not provide a quick and easy way to block all no caller ID calls on your iPhone, it does offer several other options. For example, you can block certain outbound callers by dialing *67 before the number.

Another way to block unwanted calls is to turn on the Show My Caller ID feature. This option is located under Settings> Phone> Call Blocking & Identification. When you turn on the feature, a small check icon will appear on the right side of your screen.
