How to use the App Library on your iPhone

If you’ve been trying to figure out how to use the App Library on your iPhone, you’ve come to the right place. This article will help you manage your apps, remove them from your Home Screens, and move them around. Plus, you’ll find out how to delete a whole batch of your apps, too.

Move apps around

One of the most convenient ways to organize your iPhone is to move apps around the App Library. This method will allow you to quickly find and launch similar apps. If you don’t use an app often, you can easily remove it from your Home Screen.

To move an app, tap and hold the app. A menu will appear. You can then choose to Add to Home Screen or Remove from Home Screen.

For moving multiple apps, you can use the contextual menus to quickly place them in folders. Or, you can stack and shake the apps to a new location.

The newest iOS versions allow you to drag the app as you click. This is the fastest way to move apps from the App Library to your home screen. However, you will need to make sure you tap and hold the app correctly. Also, be sure to wait for the menu to appear before you tap the action you want to take.

Manage your apps

The App Library on your iPhone allows you to easily manage your apps. You can add, delete and move them. It also provides a searchable alphabetical list of all your apps. This means you can find what you need quickly.

The App Library on iOS 14 comes with a new way to organize your apps. It uses automatically generated categories of apps, and it can be accessed directly from the Home Screen. There are also suggested apps that use machine learning to help you find what you’re looking for.

The App Library is located on the right hand side of the last Home screen. The app categories appear in four square boxes. When you’re ready to find an app, just long press on the category name.

Once you’ve found what you’re looking for, you can launch the app. There are several other functions within the App Library, including sharing and deleting. All of these functions are helpful when you need to manage your apps.

Delete apps

If you no longer use an app or find it outdated, you can delete it from the App Library on your iPhone. There are several ways to go about this. However, you need to consider that deleting an app will not delete it from your home screen.

Depending on the version of iOS you’re running, you may need to perform extra steps to remove a specific app from your home screen. The app may still be in your iCloud account, which means you can redownload it. This is a good way to save storage on your device.

On older versions of iOS, you’ll need to long press the app icon to access the delete function. You can also jiggle the icon to remove the app.

Another method of deleting an app is by using a built-in feature called Screen Time. With this built-in parental control feature, you can disable a specific app, thereby preventing it from being accidentally deleted.

Remove entire Home Screens from the App Library

If you have an iPhone with iOS 14, you can easily remove entire Home Screens from the App Library. This means that the apps on your iPhone will be organized into separate pages. That way, you can find the apps that you want and delete those that you don’t.

You can do this with two simple steps. First, you will need to remove the app from the Home screen. Then you can move the app to a different page.

If you’re looking to remove an individual app from your home screen, you can long-press the icon until the menu appears. From there, tap Remove App. After that, you’ll be prompted with a “Cancel” warning and a prompt to “Remove from Home Screen.”

If you’d prefer to hide your Home Screen entirely, you can do that too. Similarly, you can hide an entire page. But remember: removing the entire page will not delete any of the apps on it.
